Correction Facilities Solution
Acclaim Electrical engineered and delivered a full turnkey sustainable energy solution for the Department of Corrections via the head contractor Downer NZ. This project required not only technical expertise but also an elevated level of planning, coordination, and safety compliance due to the sensitive, high security environment.
Scope of Work:
- Complete design, build, and commissioning of the solar energy system
- Installation of multiple hybrid solar + battery systemsÂ
- Deployment of multiple Smart PV compatible heat pump hot water cylinders
- Erected edge protection systems for secure and compliant roof access
- Comprehensive health and safety planning, in strict alignment with Corrections protocols
- Full project management
Challenges & Special Efforts:
Working within an active prison required rigorous planning and close coordination, and strict adherence to operational restrictions. Our team worked very closely with the main contractor Downer NZ and the stakeholders on every step of the project.
